Curry laughs after drawing a preposterous foul

NBA superstars are used to being the beneficiaries of a friendly whistle from time to time. But when a foul call baffles even Steph Curry himself, you know it's bad.

During Sunday's game against the Timberwolves, Curry had a clear driving line to the hoop. He went past Ricky Rubio, who made a swipe in his direction but didn't appear to make contact, and continued untouched to somehow botch a reverse layup.

Maybe it was the utter shock of Curry missing a wide-open layup, but the officials bailed him out with a foul call on Rubio.

The entire arena, broadcasters, Wolves team and even Curry were surprised that a foul was called. Curry laughed as he looked at the replay on the videoboard.

He would go on to make both shots from the line.
