Video proof that Mayweather would destroy McGregor

To most boxing fans, talk of a Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor showdown is more annoying than anything else - a talking point that has flared-up once again during the two's most recent spat.

Yes there's a minor overlap between MMA and boxing, but the reality is that the men are purveyors of two different sports, with two very different skill sets. Mayweather would get destroyed in UFC just as McGregor would at boxing. It is, in many cases, a non-starter.

Use the video below of McGregor sparring from earlier this year as proof. Just look at how many punches McGregor swallows during this sparring session. Look how long it takes him to throw some of his own, and how easy it is for his opponent to dodge them. These kind of problems would only get magnified in an actual fight, especially against a supreme defensive talent like Mayweather.
