Damian Lillard hosts concert at Oakland HS

Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard did some amazing things for his high school on Friday night. He unveiled a new gym, a weight room and a recording studio for the music program at Oakland High School.

Additionally, there was a concert that featured Fetty Wap, DJ Esco ( who Lillard performed with in Vegas in July) and Lil Uzi Vert.

PLUS, the high school retired Lillard's jersey. The NBA star wrote on Twitter, "Shout out to Oakland High for retiring my jersey yesterday. Ya'll helped mold me into the man that I am today."

Lillard talked toThe Oregonian about the event:

"I feel like, being in my position, it's my job to kind of do things like this," Lillard said. "You can't do it all the time. But just to let them know that it's better things out there. To see an example that comes from the same city as you, same high school and can come and share a big moment with you."

Major props to Lillard, adidas and everyone involved in putting on a great night for the kids.
