Salvation Army zings Rovell with epic response
This may well turn out to be the best faux-controversy of the NFL season, and even better, it's for a good cause!
After a two-yard touchdown run en-route to the Cowboys' 26-20 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday, running back Ezekiel Elliott celebrated by hiding inside a giant Salvation Army kettle that was sitting next to the field.
The NFL's celebration rules such that they are, Elliott will probably get fined for the gesture (even though he doesn't seem too bothered by it).
But the best part of all this was how supportive the Salvation Army itself has been in all this. There was this tweet.
And then this one.
And when ESPN's Darren Rovell sent this snarky tweet in response.
It fired right back!
