11 sports things you won't believe turn 10 in 2017

Can you believe it's 2017? And can you believe we're now 10 years removed from some monumental moments in sports?

Us neither. Come share your "wow, that happened 10 years ago?!?" feelings with us as we take a look back at what's hitting the decade mark in 2017:

1. The Michael Vick dogfighting scandal

The then-Atlanta Falcons quarterback was eventually sentenced to prison time for helping run a dogfighting operation. Vick would play in the NFL once again after joining the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009.

2. The Tim Donaghy NBA betting scandal

It's still pretty crazy to think that Donaghy - an NBA referee - bet on games, including ones he officiated.

3. SpyGate

The NFL punished the Patriots with a huge fine and a forfeited first-rounder after the league discovered a New England staffer videotaped Jets' coaches' signals. It wouldn't be the last time the Patriots faced allegations of cheating.

4. Peyton Manning wins his first ring

The Colts defeated Rex Grossman and the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.

5. The New England Patriots go 16-0 in the 2016 regular season

But we know how that ended.

6. The Boston Red Sox win the World Series again

A second ring in four years!

7. Barry Bonds passes Hank Aaron for most career home runs

And the asterisk signs came out.

8. Boise State pull off the Statue of Liberty to win the Fiesta Bowl

Still an all-time amazing play.

9. Ian Johnson proposes to his cheerleader girlfriend after scoring the Fiesta Bowl game-winner

This was so awesome it deserves its own spot.

10. Don Imus uses a slur to describe Rutgers' women's basketball team

The radio host was fired for his comments.

11. The Boston Celtics trade for Kevin Garnett
