Hunter Renfrow was a walk-on receiver at Clemson until he was awarded a scholarship in August 2015. As schools often do, Clemson recorded the moment when Swinney announced Renfrow was getting a scholarship and posted it on YouTube.

"Hunter's a great example of don't judge a book by its cover," Swinney said at the time. "Because he damn sure don't look like a football player. I'm just saying it like it is."
