Mike Francesa made gaffe while interviewing Karl
Maybe now is a good time to remind anyone who's a fan of longtime New York radio host Mike Francesa that he's in his final year behind the mic of his drive-time show.
The WFAN legend interviewed ex-Seattle Supersonics coach George Karl on Tuesday, but he asked about Michael Jordan ending an NBA Finals on a shot in which he pushed off of Bryon Russell. That was against the Utah Jazz in 1998, which means Francesa might have thought he was interviewing ex-Jazz coach Jerry Sloan. Karl and the Sonics lost to Jordan's Bulls in 1996.
Kudos Karl to being cool about it, though.
