Could Chrissy Teigen tackle an NFL player? She says yes.
While watching Sunday's NFL games, model, cookbook author and really good Snapchatter Chrissy Teigen put forward a interesting hypothesis on Twitter, wondering if she could take down the NFL's weakest player.
The model went so far as to tweet Rich Eisen to see if he could help her out with her goal and laid down some ground rules for the hit/tackle.
According to Google, Teigen is 5'9 and weighs 125 lbs, so that limits her options a bit. Our own Steven Ruiz suggested Cairo Santos, the Chiefs kicker, who is 5'8″, 161 lbs, but since kickers are out, Teigen should focus more on how she hits, instead of the size and weight of who she't hitting.
For this to work, Ted Berg, who is very proud of his time playing high school football, says it's all about the "angle of pursuit." The key is to get someone running in the open field and hit him at a time when all his weight is on one leg. That way, size doesn't really matter all that much. And if Teigen is in good shape (which she seems to be) she could do it. Steven also says an open field running tackle is her best bet here, especially if she goes low.
So, yeah, Chrissy, our NFL and MLB expert agree! You can totally do this, and John, while handsome and probably right about most things, is wrong on this one.
