Sports world has very topical Trump jokes


After Donald Trump's inauguration, many began sharing photos comparing the crowd size to Barack Obama's inauguration, and pointing out that there was a much smaller turnout for Trump. Then, the day after, there were more people at the Women's March in D.C. than there were for the inauguration.

Despite those reports, White House press secretary Sean Spicer told media in the briefing room that, "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration," which Paste BN's Gregory Korte explains is wrong.

But Spicer's claim about the audience numbers was picked up by the sports world, and many jokes were made on Saturday.

Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers cracked a joke when he addressed reporters before their game against the Denver Nuggets.

The Dallas Stars put a crowd joke on the jumbotron during their game against the Washington Capitals.
