Marquette fans storm court after thrilling upset
The Marquette Golden Eagles defeated the AP No. 1 and Paste BN coaches poll No. 2 Villanova Wildcats on Tuesday night, 74-72, at the BMO Bradley Harris Center. After trailing by 10 with about five minutes left to play, the Golden Eagles took the lead with 11 seconds left in a thrilling victory.
Immediately after Villanova missed the final layup attempt and the buzzer sounded, fans rushed onto the court to celebrate with the team.
They were pumped.
The photos are awesome, as good court storming photos always are.
Even Dwyane Wade sent out a tweet of approval. He knows a thing or two about beating an AP No. 1 team.
Marquette also beat then-No. 7 Creighton in its last game on Saturday.
