Pats fan fakes losing tooth to get Brady's Uggs

The lesson holds true once again: Never believe anything that happens on the Internet.

Back in December, New England Patriots fan Luke Barosky claimed he had lost a tooth while on the hunt for one of Tom Brady's prized signed Uggs hidden around Boston. Brady gifted him a pair for his efforts, but there were those who were skeptical.

"Now, this is the point where we stop for a second and add the usual caveat: This injury could be fake, because sometimes things on the Internet are fake," we wrote.

Barosky, it turns out, used Halloween makeup from a local CVS. Here's more from the Boston Globe:

"In all honesty," Barosky said in a telephone interview with the Globe, "I never meant any ill will, and I thought it was pretty obvious it was all a joke." …

Then, on Jan. 13, they showed up at his doorstep. Barosky posted a picture to Facebook of the slippers resting on a football, as he watched a game. He tagged Brady in the image, and wrote that he would be donating one of the slippers to charity. …

He's not donating the second slipper - at least for now - because it has his name written on it, and he figures it won't be of interest to someone who is not named "Luke."

Probably time to find a Pats fan in need named Luke, Luke.
