Concession prices at Super Bowl 51 are absurdly expensive

The exorbitant ticket prices at every Super Bowl deservedly get a lot of attention as fans dish out thousands of dollars just to get in the building. But that's only part of the battle because the food and drink prices at the Super Bowl are unjustifiably steep.

A look at the concession menus at NRG Stadium in Houston revealed that Super Bowl 51 was no exception. Fans will be paying so much money for food and drinks.

How does $15 popcorn sound? According to scout.com, the bottomless popcorn went for $8.75 in the regular season. That's quite the hike.

Burgers are $16. Basic nachos are $12.

But those drink prices - ah, look away! It's so bad. A double cocktail is $30. Thirty.

A premium beer is $14. Premium draft beers were $10.75 during the regular season.
