Kevin Durant left the airport in a wheelchair

Kevin Durant's knee injury proved to be a major scare for the Warriors after the star forward went down with a sprained left MCL. The injury will keep Durant sidelined at least four weeks.

On Wednesday, Durant arrived in Oakland with a wheelchair waiting for him at the airport. KTVU had helicopter coverage of Durant's arrival and tweeted this photo of Durant.

Sure, this was a concerning image for Warriors fans, but NBA fans managed to make the same joke, bringing up a different famous NBA wheelchair moment. Yeah, the Paul Pierce-Warriors beef has gone too far.

Notice a trend?

Pierce famously left Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals in a wheelchair before returning to the game and scoring 22 points in a 98-88 win.
