The story behind the personalized potato that Dirk just got in the mail
This is Dirk Nowitzki, who scored his 30,000th career point last week…
And this is a personalized potato that Dirk Nowitzki just got in the mail.
There's actually a funny story behind it at.
If you're a fan of ABC's show Shark Tank, you may remember that late last year, two entrepreneurs - Alex Craig and Riad Bekhit - came on the show to ask for $50,000 for 10 percent of their company, Potato Parcel. The business was pretty simple: People pay them $9.99 and $12.99 (depending on the type of message they want), and these guys will send a personalized message on a potato to a person of their choosing.
While the two were making their pitch, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban called it "stupid on a stick."
"It's actually stupid on a potato," Craig responded.
But the funny thing? The business was actually working.
