The last time Oregon made the final four

Oregon staged a shock 74-60 upset of Kansas on Saturday night to book its ticket to the final four. It's the first time they've accomplished that feat since 1939 - and that year, the tournament featured just eight teams.

Either way: in Oregon's honor, we thought it'd be fitting to compile a quick list to put that 78 year absence in perspective. Here's what the world looked like in 1939.
