WWE unveils Ric Flair statue in emotional ceremony
ORLANDO - Eight years ago in Orlando, Ric Flair was immortalized in the WWE Hall of Fame and wrestled his final match at WrestleMania against Shawn Michaels.
WrestleMania is back in Orlando for the first time since and Flair was immortalized again Thursday in an emotional ceremony as a statue was unveiled in his honor at WrestleMania AXXESS.
The statue, created by New York-based sculptor Karen Atta, features Flair in his prime with the long flowing hair and his iconic butterfly robe. The fans responded with chants of, "You deserve it," and Flair's trademark, "Whoo."
