The 10 worst ceremonial first pitches of all time

The 2017 Major League Baseball season is underway, and with that news comes another year of botched ceremonial first pitches.

We've already seen one toss that wasn't so great courtesy of Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson:

Not the greatest, but it hardly deserves to be on this list. Here are the all-time worst we've seen:

10. Snoop Dogg, 2016

Looked really great coming out of his hands, but it was extremely wild.

9. Michael Jordan, 1998

Hey, he wasn't a pitcher during his minor league baseball stint.

8. Gary "Bababooey" Dell'Abate, 2009

Not as bad as others on this list, but the faux documentary put together by Howard Stern is worth your time.

7. Miss Texas, 2016

A good effort, though, and not as bad as another Miss Texas (see below).

6. John Wall, 2011

It could have been much, much worse for the camera man.

5. Carly Rae Jepsen, 2013

Oops.

4. Miss Texas, 2014

Yeah, not so good.

3. Carl Lewis, 2003

An amazing, incredible, super-talented athlete. But wow, this is a rough one. His second try, of course, was way better. At least we can say this is better than his national anthem.

2. 50 Cent, 2014

I was prepared to defend this one, but watching it again three years later, you realize it deserves to be high up on this list. What's even more fascinating about this toss - and what gets it into this slot - is the fact that his warmup throw looked great. Via TMZ:

1. Mark Mallory, 2007

The then-Cincinnati mayor tossed a positively awful dribbler, and to make matters worse, the umpire who he hit with the pitch jokingly threw him out of the game.
