Gambler accidentally wins $4,000 thanks to typo

Just imagine the mixed emotions this guy would've gone through. Hopefulness. Panic. Utter terror. Suspense. Jubilation. Relief. Probably in that order.

Englishman Alex Blackwell decided to put a sneaky wager on a horse called Arthur at 16-1. 20 GBP. That should do it. Except, in his haste, he accidentally tacked on an extra "0", causing him to bet 200 GBP.

HORROR!

But don't worry, the story has a happy ending: Arthur, in incredibly clutch fashion, won the bet, netting Blackswell a cool 3,200 GBP profit ($4,000), by mistake.

According to the Mirror:

"It was pretty fortunate because I didn't mean to put that much on. It's lucky it came in."

The freelance journalist said he would never purposefully put on a £200 bet, an amount he described as "crazy".
