7 car-flipping wrecks from Talladega races

While crashes are a guaranteed part of any NASCAR race, massive wrecks are particularly common at NASCAR's two largest tracks: Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway - where drivers are headed this weekend for the GEICO 500.

Earlier this season, FTW explained why so many crashes happen at these tracks where drivers are forced to race in groups.

So ahead of this weekend's highly anticipated GEICO 500 at one of NASCAR's fastest tracks, here are seven unbelievable, flipping car wrecks from past Talladega Superspeedway races.

1. Bobby Allison's 1987 crash

2. Rusty Wallace barrel rolls across the finish line

3. Carl Edwards flips on the last lap

4. Elliott Sadler's 2003 flip

5. Ken Schrader's 1995 disaster

6. Tony Stewart wrecks the field

7. Chris Buescher become a chain-reaction victim
