Why Brady plays as Packers or Seahawks in 'Madden'
We learned quite a bit about Tom Brady on Friday, when he was named the cover athlete for Madden 18.
We found out that he doesn't believe in the Madden Curse (we'll see how that turns out!) and that he actually plays Madden with his son Jack, who "loves beating up on me."
That's what he told ESPN. But there's a wrinkle to it: Jack "often" likes to use Brady's Patriots as his team (if Tom Brady was your dad, wouldn't you do the same thing?). So who does Brady choose instead? And how does he feel about being forced to pick another squad?
"I don't like doing it," Brady said. "It does feel weird. I feel like I'm going up against my own guys that I love. Julian [Edelman] catches a pass, and I've got to tackle him. I've been Green Bay, because I like that offense. And I've been Seattle, because I love being that defense.
That's a pretty fun little nugget about the quarterback, and high praise for Aaron Rodgers as well as Richard Sherman's unit out west.
