Cornell once went on legendary rant about Sonics
The music world was stunned when news broke early Thursday that Chris Cornell, the singer for Soundgarden, Audioslave as well as the owner of a solid solo career, had died after performing in Detroit Wednesday night.
Here's a video from a concert in 2011 in which he appears to spot a fan in a Seattle Supersonics jersey and goes off on the team being taken away from the city and moved to Oklahoma City in 2008. We said it above, but, again: WARNING: Lots of NSFW language ahead:
"They took our [expletive] team from us. Since I was this high, I had that team. And they [expletive] took it away. It's [expletive] to take away a basketball team!"
Cornell was 52 years old.
