Cavs cap record first half on J.R. Smith's wild buzzer-beater

J.R. Smith is a man who makes shots, especially silly shots, but this was something spectacular.

With his Cleveland Cavaliers leading the Boston Celtics 70-31 in the final seconds of an ugly first half, LeBron James raced up the court and fired a perfect pass to Kevin Love in the corner for a 3-pointer. Love missed the shot. Somehow, Smith grabbed the rebound and, in one motion, twisted around and flung in a 2-pointer that counted.

The real beauty here? The record for largest halftime deficit in NBA postseason history was 40. The Celtics appeared to avoid history when Love clanked his jumper, but NOPE! The Cavs finished the half up 41, with a score of 72-31.

J.R. Smith is for the children.
