Thursday was an unbelievable night for 12-year-old Ananya Vinay of Fresno, Calif., at the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
As the Golden State Warriors dominated the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Ananya - a Warriors fan - capped a fantastic performance with a title-clinching spelling of the word, "marocain."
Her brother was seated in the stands wearing a Warriors shirt, and Ananya learned of the 113-91 win during her interview with ESPN. She gave Steph Curry a personal shoutout.
"Go Curry!"
Winning the Spelling Bee is awesome, but it only gets better when your team wins in the NBA Finals.
