Jon Gruden's son wins powerlifting championship
Jon Gruden is no longer the only world champion in his household. Gruden's son, nicknamed Deuce, won the junior 183-pound class at the International Powerlifting Federation Classic on Monday.
Deuce, who played college football at Lafayette, works as a strength and conditioning intern on Jay Gruden's staff in Washington.
The younger Gruden credits his dad for getting him into the weight room at an early age.
Via Fox 13:
"I remember back in the day he taught me. He took me into the Bucs facility and was like, 'This is the squat rack. This is what you do. This is how you squat.' He's played a big role in that."
Between the 2002 Buccaneers and Deuce, Gruden has now coached up two world champions. That's a pretty impressive coaching resume.
