Tabloid sums up how fans feel about Hardaway deal
New York Knicks fans are spending their Fridays wondering just why the team threw down a four-year, $71 million offer sheet on former draft pick Tim Hardaway Jr.
Although the guard had a breakout last season, there's no guarantee he'll live up to that contract either in New York or Atlanta, if the Hawks match by Saturday evening. It's the most Knicks thing the Knicks could do, which is depressing for die-hards hoping for a change after Phil Jackson left.
The New York tabloids, as they always do, usually sum up how New Yorkers feel, and the Daily News nailed it:
