NBC golf broadcaster David Feherty is one of the most colorful and talented commentators in the game, a man's who speaks about all the ups and downs in his life with such remarkable candor.

But on Tuesday, Feherty shared some tragic news: That his 29 year-old son had died tragically from an overdose on his birthday.

It's truly awful news, one which was matched with an outpouring of emotion and support from the golf community. Scant consolation though it is, our thoughts are with the Feherty family during this difficult time.
