Mayweather's pre-fight plans: Party, party, party
Never one to give up the chance to make some more money, Floyd Mayweather used the week before his fight to promote his club 'Girl Collection' with this promise: He will be partying there next week - despite the big fight - and he encouraged fans to come party with him. Or, perhaps more accurately, give their money to his club.
Mayweather also used an interview with Jimmy Kimmel earlier this week to promote the club, telling the late show host that he had already planned his victory party there and offering a nauseating explanation for its name.
McGregor and Mayweather are set to fight on August 26 at 9 PM ET in Las Vegas. In a conference call with reporters this week, Mayweather said he thinks his opponent is a dirty fighter.
"I see a lot of rabbit punches behind the head, grappling, wrestling, illegal shots," Mayweather said on a media conference call. "But the ref will be fair on both sides, I want him to be even. I want us to have a good solid fight."
