20 photos of NFL players did during national anthem

President Donald Trump's controversial statements targeted at players who choose to kneel during the national anthem prompted a wave of protests on Sunday afternoon.

There were 20 NFL games that kicked off in the morning and afternoon; all but two of those teams - the Jets and the Panthers - featured players who knelt for the anthem. The Steelers stayed in the locker room altogether on head coach Mike Tomlin's orders, while every team's players locked arms in a show of unity for the league.
