Stephen Colbert weighs in on Trump and LaVar Ball

Stephen Colbert was not impressed by Donald Trump's tweet that requested thanks from a trio of UCLA basketball players for helping secure their return from China after they were charged with shoplifting earlier this month.

But he was even less impressed with the spat that followed between the President of the United States and LaVar Ball, the outspoken father of one of the players involved in the incident.

However, Colbert did admire at least one of the digs Ball took at Trump: When asked about Trump's involvement in resolving the issue with his son, Ball replied "who?"

"Pretending not to know him is the meanest thing you can do to Donald Trump," Colbert said. "Knowing who he is, is his whole thing. That's why he puts his name on all of his buildings and one of his kids."
