Odell Beckham Jr. sent LSU players his new shoes

Odell Beckham Jr. was recently in a giving mood. His new Nike lifestyle shoe, the Special Field Air Force-1 Mid "OBJ," debuted on Black Friday, but the New York Giants wide receiver gave the players at his LSU alma mater an early preview of bright, yellow kicks.

Beckham surprised the Tigers with a video message, telling them he had something special for them. He said:

"I sent y'all boys some shoes. I recently did some things for Nike, we dropped a little shoe. It's not the signatures, it's just the first to come out right now."

And when LSU coach Ed Orgeron held up one of the shoes, the players obviously went nuts.

More about the shoes, via Nike:

When Beckham Jr. left his home state of Louisiana for New York in 2014, one of the first things that struck him was the omnipresence of the yellow cab. Fittingly, his debut signature lifestyle shoe, the Special Field Air Force-1 Mid "OBJ," assumes that familiar color - like the cars, immediately standing out in a crowd.

This week, LSU is set to host Texas A&M on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
