Ric Flair suggests he should be next Vols coach

As the Tennessee coaching search continues to … well, do something, fans and observers on social media have offered suggestions for candidates that could be great fits at the school - even if they're not the most traditional ones you'd go to.

1. Eric Taylor, Friday Night Lights

Yes, he's a great high school coach with a short stint of college experience on his resume, but unfortunately for the numerous people who nominated Coach T as the next coach at Tennessee, he's not a real person.

2. Buddy Stephens, Last Chance U

So, as with the Eric Taylor suggestion, this idea has been floating around for months:

And is not a bad one. Sure, he's got a bit of a temper problem that he's continuously working on. But he also has a built-in recruiting pipeline, at least for the near future. And who wouldn't want him on national TV?

Also, unlike the other people on this list, he's an actual active football coach.

3. Ric Flair would like to nominate Ric Flair
