Why Dez Bryant warmed up in his socks

Dez Bryant warmed up without his shoes before the Cowboys beat Washington on Thursday Night - and made one kid's day.

The Cowboys receiver gave his shoes to Darren, a fan who was there as part of the Make-A-Wish program. He then went on with his warm-up with just his socks.

That wasn't his only generous act of the night. More from the Dallas Morning News:

After the game, Bryant kept poking his head out of the locker room looking for a young boy named Brock Gumm from Longview who has been battling osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.

Bryant met the boy several years ago through the Cowboys' Make-A-Wish program. Bryant formed a connection with Brock and has stayed in touch, playing video games with him during the Cowboys' annual hospital visits around the holidays.
