UFC fighter makes superfan's dream come true

Diego Sanchez, a 35-year-old UFC regular from New Mexico, met Isaac "The Shermanator" Marquez when Marquez visited Jackson Wink Academy in Albuquerque to watch pros train. Sanchez invited Marquez to train with him, and the two quickly became friends.

Marquez has down syndrome, but that didn't stop him from training for a title fight against Sanchez, which the UFC star promised him.

Via KRQE:

"Most down syndrome adults don't live past 45," Sanchez said. "Isaac is 32, and I just wanted to see this young man be healthy. Exercise and martial arts are one of the most healthy things you can do."

The two met in the cage Friday night at the Isleta Casino and Resort in Albuquerque, and The Shermanator emerged victorious via submission.
