Lithuanian coach turns LiAngelo Ball rumors into ultimate burn

LaVar Ball pulled his son, LiAngelo Ball, out of UCLA on Monday after he grew irritated with the school's indefinite suspension for LiAngelo's shoplifting arrest in China.

Though LiAngelo is not considered an NBA prospect, LaVar said that LiAngelo will spend the next seven months preparing for the NBA draft. He has already been tied to Lithuanian Basketball League club Lietkabelis. According to Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Eisenberg, the team has approached the Ball camp about the services of both LiAngelo and 16-year-old LaMelo Ball.

Someone should have checked with the club's head coach first.

As rumors of Lietkabelis' interest in the Ball brothers spread on Twitter, head coach Arturs Stalbergs took a shot at LiAngelo's shoplifting arrest in a now-deleted tweet.

Oh, man. That wouldn't be the best way to start a parent-coach relationship with the already-volatile LaVar.

LaMelo, who was pulled out of high school last month, was not involved in LiAngelo's shoplifting incident. He is too committed to UCLA, but eligibility concerns could have him playing overseas until he's eligible for the NBA draft in 2020.
