Jimbo Fisher says his Christmas tree wasn't related to FSU
Before news broke that Jimbo Fisher was officially leaving Florida State to coach Texas A&M, his discarded Christmas tree was on the curb outside his house. A photo of the tree made its way onto Twitter, throwing the college football world into a frenzy as people wondered if it was a signal that he was leaving Tallahassee.
Fisher obviously left, but he said that's not why his Christmas tree was on his curb. Wednesday on The Dan Patrick Show, Fisher offered his perfectly reasonable explanation.
Well, there you have it. The tree was simply broken, despite the fact that he probably would have tossed it anyway rather than take it with him to Texas.
