But here we are: This Vancouver Canucks die-hard nailed the third of his three chances to win a Toyota and just seemed … fine with it?

Maybe he was like that Price is Right contestant who didn't even want a chance at winning a car perhaps because he'd have to pay serious taxes on it? But come on, show a little enthusiasm!
