Davante Adams rips Davis for 'head hunting'

Thomas Davis made one of the dirtiest plays of the NFL season when he laid out Packers WR Davante Adams with a blindside block. Davis was devastated on the sideline and apologized to Aaron Rodgers on the field after the Panthers had clinched the win.

Adams wasn't buying Davis' apology and made that clear on Twitter…

Davis responded directly to Adams…

Adams' point-of-view is certainly understandable, but can we ask anymore of Davis at this point? He's saying the right things. He was clearly upset with himself directly after the hit. He didn't celebrate the block, as we've seen in other instances.

In the meantime, the league should absolutely suspend Davis for at least a game after suspending JuJu Smith-Schuster for a similar play. Davis' contrition, or off-the-field work, does not change the fact that he made a dangerous play.
