Ball talks inspiration behind league's Lonzo logo
LaVar Ball's Junior Basketball Association will give a chance to players who graduate from high school to play instead of going to college is actually a pretty good idea.
The logo for the league? Of course it's of his son Lonzo:
Alright, so it's not a terrible logo at all. But the elder Ball's explanation for why he chose Lonzo dunking is … kind of absurd. Via ESPN:
"We don't need a logo of a guy dribbling," Ball said, in an obvious reference to the NBA's famous Jerry West silhouette. "Nobody does that anymore."
Ummmm …
Sure looks like Lonzo dribbles.
