Why Isaiah Thomas was sent to the G League

The Cleveland Cavaliers assigned two players, guard Isaiah Thomas and big man Ante Zizic, to the Canton Charge Thursday - but Thomas was recalled just hours later.

According to Yahoo, Thomas was recalled from Canton on the same day after taking part in a full-team 5-on-5 practice session, which occurred at the Cavs' facility. Thomas has been nearing a return to the Cavs as he rehabilitates from a hip injury, but the Cavs don't play five-on-five games during practice.

Cleveland hosts a surging Chicago Bulls team, which is currently on a seven-game winning streak, Thursday night. The Cavs will then be off until Christmas Day, when they'll play the Warriors in an NBA Finals rematch.

According to LeBron James, Thomas' attitude has been getting worse as his comeback draws closer.

"His attitude is getting worse and worse because he's getting closer and closer. When you get closer and closer to something you love and you want, your attitude actually gets worse."
