Shazier's father believes his son will play again
Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier's life changed when he suffered a serious spinal injury against the Bengals on Dec. 4. He was unable to feel his legs and underwent spinal stabilization surgery days after the injury.
The Steelers and Shazier's family have been quiet about his recovery, but in an interview with WPXI in Pittsburgh, Shazier's father, Vernon, said he believed that his son would play football again.
During the interview, Vernon said that Ryan had improved since the injury and that he has feeling in his legs. He would not, however, disclose whether Ryan could walk.

"He's making progress daily. He's a long way from where he was on that Monday night," Vernon said.
Recently, an NFLPA medical consultant expressed doubt that Shazier would play again.
