Marcus Mariota gets love from Titans fans after first playoff win
Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota spent a little time with the fans after Tennessee beat the Chiefs in Kansas City in their wild-card game on Saturday. It was Mariota's first NFL playoff game and win, and it was the Titan's first postseason victory since 2003.
The 24-year-old QB gave away his beanie while high-fiving Titans fans in what must have been a special moment for him.
Mariota finished with 205 passing yards, two touchdowns, one interception and two particularly spectacular highlights in the Titans' thrilling comeback win. They were trailing 21-3 at the half and went on to win 22-21.
He threw a touchdown to himself in the third quarter.
He had a clutch game-saving block.
When Mariota was asked about those plays in his postgame presser, he had basically no reaction. He said he was just trying to help his team.
The Titans will face the Patriots (if the Jaguars win) or the Steelers (if the Bills win) in the divisional round. The Jags-Bills wild-card game is on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. ET on CBS.
