Photographer mowed down during Alabama's TD celebration
The second DeVonta Smith stepped into the end zone with the ball in his hands, Alabama players and their fans went nuts as the Crimson Tide stunned Georgia in overtime, 26-23, to win the national championship - Nick Saban's fifth in nine seasons with the program.
The Crimson Tide players on the field swarmed the wide receiver, and as tight end Irv Smith Jr. tried to join the party, he ended up plowing over a photographer who was just trying to capture the crazy scene.
It was a wild game with Alabama coming back from a 13-0 halftime deficit to win in overtime. But hopefully the photographer was OK after getting tackled by a 6-foot-4, 246-pound tight end.
