Dale Jr. loves the new look of his No. 88 car

Hendrick Motorsports No. 88 Chevrolet is getting a new NASCAR driver behind the wheel this season and a new look to go with it.

Following Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s retirement at the end of the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series season, the 15-time most popular driver turned over the metaphorical keys to newcomer Alex Bowman for 2018.

Still backed by Nationwide, the No. 88 is getting a redesigned paint scheme, and even though he's not behind the wheel anymore, Earnhardt still loves it.

Along with two new drivers - William Byron is replacing Kasey Kahne this season - HMS is switching from the Chevrolet SS to the Camaro.

Additionally, when Earnhardt was driving, the 88 on the side of the car was angled forward, but it is now tilted slightly backward, matching the other three Hendrick cars.

The 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season starts with the Daytona 500 in February.
