Texas pays tribute to player diagnosed with cancer
Texas guard Andrew Jones revealed through his family on Wednesday that he was diagnosed with leukemia and that he's begun treatment.
After the Longhorns defeated No. 16 TCU in double overtime, the band played The Eyes of Texas as tears filled the eyes of Shaka Smart and Jones' teammates held up his jersey:
And here's how Smart opened the postgame press conference:
"Really appreciative of people that have reached out and sent their prayers and well wishes for Andrew around the country. We're going to need a great deal of that. He's obviously just starting his fight, but nobody I know is a stronger fighter than him."
