Eagles players wore dog mask after beating Falcons in playoffs
The No. 1 seed Eagles went into the divisional playoff game against the No. 6 seed Falcons as the underdogs in Philly, according to oddsmakers. It's the first time a top-seeded team hasn't been picked as the favorites to win in a playoff matchup. The Eagles weren't happy about it leading up to Saturday.
Days before the game, right tackle Lane Johnson, said, per ESPN:
"I think everybody perceives us as being the weakest and that is fine. I think that is good. I think if teams want to overlook us, that is good. We'll just see about Saturday. … We're excited. We know what people are saying."
The Eagles went on to beat the Falcons 15-10, and they found a creative way to call out anyone who thought they were the underdogs.
Johnson put on a dog mask, and he wore it in the locker room too.
Chris Long was also seen wearing a mask.
The Eagles will play the Vikings or the Saints next on Jan. 21.
The Vikings-Saints game will air on Fox on Sunday at 4:40 p.m. ET.
