Falcons DE burns Saints with celebratory tweet
Falcons rookie defensive end Takkarist McKinley is quickly becoming a fan favorite in Atlanta. If his draft-day moment and impressive rookie season weren't enough, his postgame reaction to the Saints' 29-24 loss to the Vikings will certainly do the trick.
After Stefon Diggs' last-second, 61-yard touchdown grab stunned the Saints, the Falcons rookie took to Twitter and celebrated the NFC South rival's loss.
Is it petty? Maybe a little (or a lot). But the Falcons endured an entire season of jokes from Saints fans about their Super Bowl collapse. It's a rivalry, and McKinley knows that.
To his credit, McKinley didn't overlook the fact that the Falcons' season just ended too. But he can take solace in that the Saints won't be playing for a Super Bowl either.
