Did Payton mock Vikings fans before final play?

The Minneapolis Miracle just keeps getting better and better. According to Vikings radio analyst Ben Leber, who also played linebacker for Minnesota during his NFL career, as well as several fans on Twitter, Sean Payton was doing a mock SKOL clap right before Case Keenum's miracle touchdown pass.

Unfortunately, there was no visual proof of this happening at the time, so it was hard to condemn Sean Payton, who had come under scrutiny last month for taunting Falcons RB Devonta Freeman with a choke sign during a New Orleans-Atlanta game. Payton eventually apologized for his actions.

He may need to apologize again, because it looks like we now have proof of the Saints coach mocking Vikings fans right before the big play…

It's still hard to say for sure that this happened right before the final play. But Payton is facing the crowd, has his headset off as if his day is done and is clearly doing something that resembles the SKOL clap.

Either way, the Minneapolis Miracle will go down as one of the most memorable plays in NFL history. This would only add to the legend.
