Patriots player comforts an emotional Fournette
The Jaguars held a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, had an apparent dagger touchdown blown dead and watched as Tom Brady engineered yet another comeback win.
It was a rough Sunday afternoon for the Jaguars, and few took the AFC Championship Game loss harder than Jacksonville running back Leonard Fournette.
After the game, Fournette was justifiably crushed. Yet, through the disappointment, some excellent sportsmanship emerged.
Seeing how upset Fournette was, Patriots defensive tackle Rickey Jean-Francios gave the Jaguars running back some words of encouragement.
Both players went to LSU - albeit at different times - but that connection played out in a genuine moment of respect between competitors. Teammate Paul Pozluszny would later do his part to encourage Fournette.
