Wentz sends encouraging message to Nick Foles
When Carson Wentz went down with a season-ending ACL injury, the Eagles were considered longshots to reach the Super Bowl with backup quarterback Nick Foles.
Not only have Foles and the Eagles proved those doubters wrong, but Wentz has also been Foles' biggest fan during the remarkable playoff run. That continued just hours before Sunday's Super Bowl LII between the Eagles and Patriots.
The injured Wentz took to Instagram and posted a photo of him with Foles along with a final message of encouragement before the Super Bowl.
Wentz wrote:
My bro is gonna shine bright tonight! So excited to see this man and the rest of this team go out and compete tonight. Been through it all this year as a team, and yet, here we are still! WE ALL WE GOT. WE ALL WE NEED. God's writing an unbelievable story and he's getting all the glory! Let's roll boys! #AO1 #flyeaglesfly
The Eagles have been underdogs in every game of the playoffs and seek the franchise's first Super Bowl title.
