See Dale Jr. get tackled playing broomball in Minnesota

For his broadcasting debut on NBC, newly retired Dale Earnhardt Jr. tried out a bunch of different winter sports, as one does when in Minnesota in the winter.

In a pre-taped segment that aired Sunday during the Super Bowl LII pregame show, Earnhardt and NASCAR reporter Rutledge Wood went snow fishing, raced snowmobiles - Junior loved that one, obviously - played broomball and tried skijoring, which is like skiing but you are pulled by a dog or horse.

They hit a wide range of typical outdoor winter activities, and Earnhardt said broomball was his favorite, even though he was tackled down on the ice at one point.

Dale Jr. said Sunday about the week's winter activities:

"I loved the broomball. It brought the whole community out. You saw the husbands playing against their wives. Even the refs were drinking beer. I can't wait to bring my friends back."
